These days, blogging as it once was seems to have fallen out of fashion. Platforms like Tumblr and Instagram have largely replaced more traditional blogs, where images were there to supplement the text, and not the other way around. I have used both of these websites, and although they are convenient and great in many ways, the romantic in me longs for the days when blogs were a bit more personalized. Lately I’ve been looking at old WordPress and Geocities websites, even using the Wayback Machine to look at some blogs that have long since been deleted. I find myself wishing these types of websites to come back in style—and I thought, why not start my own? “Be the change you wish to see in the world”, and all that.
So will you join me on this journey? If even one person takes a bit of inspiration or joy from this blog, I think I shall be very happy.
My Lady,
Your writing indicates a great deal of dedication to an aesthetic you feel can only benefit the world. To attempt to spread such aesthetic through a device that is often the culprit in encouraging the modern person’s palate to value immediate satisfaction over such detailed care is admirable and shall, I have no doubt, succeed. My heart goes with you.
Forever Yours,
Pinstripe Prince
Dearest Prince,
I am so delighted that you understand exactly what I am trying to accomplish. I hope that we both take the time in our day, each day to stop and appreciate those small and intricate beauties that life has to offer us. For those pleasures which take time and effort to fully indulge in, may perhaps be the greatest and beautiful pleasures of all.
Much love,
Nicole
